Shape Stacking Board

This is a lovely Wooden Shape Stacking Matching Board kit, designed to encourage early learning in toddlers and preschoolers.

Key Features and Activities:

​Shape Stacking & Peg Board: The main component is a natural wood board with four pegs. Children can stack the included wooden pieces onto these pegs. The pieces feature various geometric shapes (e.g., circle, pentagon, hexagon, star, square, trapezoid) in soft, pastel/muted colors (pink, peach, sage green, mustard yellow, dusty blue). This activity helps develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and spatial reasoning.

​Shape Matching & Sorting: The base board also features recessed cutouts that match the shapes of the stacking blocks. Children can practice matching and sorting the shapes into their correct slots, which reinforces shape recognition and problem-solving skills.

Pattern Cards/Challenge Cards: The kit includes a stack of double-sided challenge cards. These cards show various sequences and combinations of shapes and colors for the child to replicate on the stacking board. This introduces concepts of pattern recognition and following instructions.

​Lacing Activity (Bonus): Visible in the foreground is a shoelace with an attached wooden needle an additional lacing/threading activity. This is excellent for developing the pincer grasp and further enhancing fine motor dexterity.
